Hello teachers, parents, guardians, and pupils!
Bright Charity exists to make things better for those accessing Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s services.
Amazing people like you make a difference to patients, loved ones and hard-working NHS colleagues across our family of hospitals and community facilities in Northumberland and North Tyneside.
This page gives you simple, fun ideas for your school to raise money for Bright Charity and get pupils involved.
Everything is designed to be easy to run, low-cost, and age-appropriate for primary schools.
What can you do?
- Wear something BRIGHT to school
- Decorate your classroom
- Download and print our activity sheets
- Hold a Read-a-thon, Maths-a-thon or Spell-a-thon
- Sports Day with a fundraising entry fee
- Sponsored activities like laps of the playground, teddy bear picnics or silences!

Step five: Celebrate!
- Announce the total raised in assembly.
- Thank the pupils and parents with certificates or a “thank you wall.”
- Share photos (with permission) on your school website or newsletter.
Thank you for making a difference!
Every pound raised helps Bright Charity. Together, we can inspire children to care, share, and make a difference for those who need it.
Please get in touch if you have any questions.
