How fundraising makes a difference to patients and their families

Thanks to the incredible efforts of Dave and John, more than £3,500 has been raised for North Tyneside’s Oncology Day Unit.

Having seen first-hand the care their family members received, they wanted to give back and support future patients and their loved ones.

The funds will help enhance the patient experience through specialist equipment, environmental improvements, and projects that create a more welcoming and comfortable space for those undergoing treatment.

We were delighted to welcome Dave and John back to the unit for the first time in over a year and show them the improvements already made by our environment team.

During the visit, Lead cancer nurse Amanda Walsh spoke about the difference a positive environment can make to patients throughout their treatment journey.

We are incredibly grateful for the support of fundraisers like Dave and John. Their generosity helps us continue to improve care and experiences across our hospitals.
