Contractors raise thousands for Bright Charity during Hexham Hospital refurbishment

Contractors from IHP (Integrated Health Projects) have raised an impressive £17,000 for Bright Northumbria Healthcare Charity while working on the three-year refurbishment of Hexham General Hospital.

From cycling over the passes on the Coast-to-Coast route, to taking on the national Three Peaks in the dark and completing the 70-mile Hadrian’s Wall path. The team has tackled a series of challenging fundraising events and thanked supporters for their generosity.

Helen Mason, Operational Services Manager in Clinical Governance and Site Lead at Hexham General Hospital, said: “I want to acknowledge the brilliant relationship between IHP, Identity Consult, Northumbria Healthcare Facilities Management and the Trust.

“Not only has the project at Hexham been a huge success, but IHP and Identity Consult have truly taken the site into their hearts and raised a substantial amount of money through annual charity challenges.”

Andy Maxwell, Building Services Manager at IHP, said: “Over the last few years we have formed a great working relationship, which has been demonstrated by the fundraising that the team has completed.

“It has been fantastic to bring together hospital staff and contractors to support and celebrate our combined fundraising efforts. Bright Charity does fantastic work to improve the lives of staff and patients, and any support people can offer is greatly appreciated.”

The funds raised have already made a difference at the hospital and will continue to support added extras that enhance patient experience and staff wellbeing.

Bright Northumbria Healthcare Charity looks forward to continuing its work with partners and supporters to deliver projects that go above and beyond standard NHS funding.
