International Day of Charity 2023

Each year on International Day of Charity we showcase the contributions that we’ve made to improve the patient experience.

In 2022, Chloe Rhodes, Manager of Ward 6 at the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, approached the charity with an idea to improve the experience for those with dementia and delirium.

The previously unused space on the ward has been transformed to allow patients to reminisce and do activities in a safe and calming environment.
