Welcoming volunteers to the Emergency Department

On Friday 11 August Northumbria Healthcare’s Emergency Department welcomed back our corporate volunteers for the first time in three years!

Lucia Coulthard and Hannah Boutflower work at DAC Beachcroft, the trusts solicitors, and spent the afternoon shadowing a nutrition assistant to provide refreshments, befriending patients and offering a helping hand.

Staff at DAC Beachcroft, like Lucia and Hannah, are volunteering as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility pledge on a rota basis each Friday afternoon in ED. Huge thanks to them both for offering their time.
