Funding helps transform wellbeing for patients with complementary therapy
A little bit of funding can do a whole lot of good.
Thanks to support from Bright Charity’s supporters, cancer patients across our region now have access to a newly restored acupuncture service delivered by Bright Red in Cramlington.
The grant we provided has already helped 37 patients settle into a warm, welcoming community space. A cup of tea, a friendly face, and expert hands offering complementary therapy have made a real difference during a difficult time.
Auricular acupuncture focuses on specific pressure points on the ear to relieve physical, emotional, and hormonal symptoms. It is gentle, non-invasive, and supports:
• Pain management
• Nausea and digestive discomfort
• Anxiety and emotional strain
• Treatment-related fatigue
• Hormonal symptoms such as hot flushes
Patients told us they now sleep better. They feel calmer. Their pain and hot flushes have eased. Some even look forward to “acupuncture Tuesdays” as the best part of their week.
